During the 2008 Annual Rhododendron Festival the village comes alive with floral displays, annual art show, roof bolting, coal shovelling, and outdoor entertainment including Neville Burn the Mountain Snake Man and the famous Street Parade on Saturday 1st November at 12.30pm.

Program:
Saturday 24th October to Sunday 2nd November is the Official opening and Art Show at Blackheath Community Centre. All items for sale, with over 300 exhibits including traditional and contemporary works.

Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November is the festival weekend with over 100 varied stalls, activities and music. From 9.00am to 4.00pm.
Saturday 15th November is the Rhodo Ball.
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November is the Jazz Festival in the grounds of the Ivanhoe Hotel.

With six bedrooms, huge lounge area and enormous deck, Ingleside is the perfect place for friends and family to gather, sleeping up to 11 people with all you need to enjoy a quiet break from city life.

One queen, two double, one king single and four single beds. Two bathrooms with bath, shower and separate toilet.

The kitchen has a breakfast bar which seats four people and informal eating area which seats up to eight people.

Large sunny private deck with outdoor setting to seat ten people. Toddlers and small children can safely play on the enclosed deck in full view of the kitchen/family room.

Ingleside is located close to the Katoomba golf course (700m), the aquatic centre and gym (1km), scenic lookouts and bushwalks (1km) and two minutes drive to Scenic World at Echo Point.

Ingleside has three levels.

Ground level:
The long driveway (ground level) leads to the original garage. The garage has been closed off for a future games room. The future games room leads out to a paved courtyard in a very private backyard. From the driveway there are two wide and shallow steps up to the enclosed front private, north-facing front yard. A short path leads to the front door of the main level of the house.

Main level:
The main level has three bedrooms comprising a queen room, a double room and a king single third bedroom. Each bedroom has its own convection thermostatically-controlled heater for personal comfort.

The fully self-contained kitchen, informal dining, huge north- and west-facing sunny lounge room are also on the main level.

The main level three-way bathroom has a shower and bath, separate toilet and separate vanity.

The large sunny enclosed deck has an outdoor setting for ten people.

Upper level:
Three bedrooms; one double room and two twin single rooms.

The upper level also has a bathroom with shower, bath and vanity plus a separate toilet.

Our guests are often surprised at how much space there is. Most groups previously having been cramped into houses with fewer bedrooms and small living spaces.

An exclamation we often hear from guests when they first walk in the front door is...

"There's so much SPACE!"

What a beautiful place and so private. We enjoyed the sunshine sitting out on that enormous deck and loved the peaceful garden setting as we sat with a cup of tea in the lounge room. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone.

Very convenient walk to the golf club at Katoomba - only ten minutes stroll. Sunny and warm house and very relaxing.

We brought our elderly parents to have a break away with us. We felt very welcomed and the house is so spacious. It was perfect for mum and dad- they had the lower level and my husband and I had our own space (including our own bathroom) on the upper level. Jenny was a wonderful host, offering us DVDs to watch, use of the barbeque and even offering to get supplies from the supermarket for us! We had a most memorable time and will always mark our stay as something very special Thank you Jenny and Ray.

Some gorgeous scenery - there was not enough time in a week to explore all the fantastic walks. I particularly loved the Peckmans Plateau. We took a picnic and sat on the rocks there, looking into the Megalong Valley. Beautiful!

How to calculate your tariff:
*Take the number of people (example 8) and subtract by 1 (eg 7).
*Multiply that number by the additional person cost (eg $20, depending on tariff rate ... 7 times 20=140)
*Add the first person charge (eg $125 depending on rates ... 140+125=265)
*You have just calculated the nightly rate (in this example it is $265)
*Multiply by the number of nights (eg 2 nights would bring the total tariff to 2 times 265=$530)
